IARF DECIDED NOT TO HOLD THE WORLD AIRRACE CHAMPIONSHIP IN RUSSIA IN 2022

Following an emergency meeting, the executive committee of the International Air Racing Federation came to the conclusion that the preparation and holding of the World airrace championship in Russia in 2022 would be impossible due to the current geopolitical situation: the military conflict in Ukraine.

It must be emphasized that the decision to cancel this year the World airrace championship in Russia represents the preventive measures taken in the light of extraordinary circumstances in order to ensure the safety of all participants of the competition as well as to strive against any form of violence and injustice. IARF expresses its deep concern about the situation in Ukraine and calls for dialogue and peace.
